I thought the first topic I should tackle in my blog is addressing why I made the web profile in the first place? Generally, I’m quite a private person and not a huge fan of attention, so creating a web page all about me was certainly not the top of the list of things I wanted to have happened in life. However, with the recruitment challenges presented by COVID and restrictions on travel to visit organizations where I was applying for new positions in person, I wanted to develop a way to help potential employers and recruiters get to know me. When I was doing some reading around recruitment and job searches, I came across some articles on the increasing prevalence of Web CVs and profiles. After visiting several sites profiled in these articles, I thought this might be worth a try, so here it is.
As for the blog, I thought it might be an excellent way to share some of my thoughts and ideas that don’t fit into a classic CV.
