About.
I’m genuinely passionate about people, servant leadership, and human factors.
I lead with an engaging, inspirational, and collaborative style. Key to my success is a passion for developing people and service excellence, all in pursuit of advancing the values of a high-reliability organization.
A bit more about me.
Work hard, play hard, and be kind...
If I may, I would like to try to provide an opportunity for you to learn a little more about who 'Mike' is and a little about what makes me 'tick.' How I got to where I am now is another story. Still, you can log in to read about that in my back story if you are interested.
I'm really quite an ordinary person who has been privileged to enjoy some extraordinary experiences and be surrounded by truly incredible people, in both work and play, which have shaped who I am.
Personally, I straddle the line between extrovert and introvert. While I absolutely love helping people, teaching, and leading teams, I also spend much time "inside my own head." I am keen to listen and observe the world around me. I invest time analyzing what I'm hearing or observing, reflecting upon it and thinking about improving systems or processes. In fact, the entire story behind why I created this profile exemplifies my extrovert-introvert dichotomy.

At work, my focus is on People - my patients, their families, and my colleagues. I'm driven by a desire to improve both myself and the systems within which I work. It took me a while to understand that my passion for quality improvement stems from my innate sense of optimism and the belief that we can make the world in which we work and live a better place. Aligned with this and my other values, I often find myself at my best when I'm building teams or teaching others how to deliver positive change, problem-solve or manage a crisis.

When not at work, I can pretty much always be found with Paul, my best friend and husband of 20+ years, likely hosting a dinner party or in the saddle on yet another cycling adventure.

If you are interested in learning more, I encourage you to check out the in-depth information I've provided on my leadership styles, values, in addition to profiles and feedback from my colleagues.
